In order to achieve the goal of “further development of Shuishalian and linking with Southeast Asia” planned by higher education of this college, College of Education transforms and innovates the departments and institutes from 5 dimensions (reinforce the teaching innovation, develop school-running characteristics, enhance the accessibility of higher education, implement the social responsibility and realize the sustainable system operation) and expects to cultivate the future talents having the ability of “localization, professionalization internationalization”, introduce the in-campus and off-campus resources and gradually carry out the construction of the three performance objectives of “warm and professional teacher groups”, “energetic and gallant learning environment” and “diverse and innovative course teaching”.
(1) “Warm and professional teacher groups”
Teachers should be warm and kind-hearted, can be devoted to educational career and assist students to review their life process to understand the current themselves and further give the hope to life. In order to further stress and deepen teacher’s traits and profession, the new teacher development system based on professional leadership and the teacher’s professional learning community based on “learning community” will be established.
(2) “Energetic and gallant learning environment”
College is a place where the teachers and students meet, integrate, get moved and grow. They learn and live together there and gather and operate the feasible physical environment and heart touching field. In order to construct the vigorous and enthusiastic learning environment, the diversified teaching space where all the teachers and students can hold the shared activities will be built.
(3) “Diverse and innovative course teaching”
The innovation in the major of education and course teaching is the strength of this college. By coordinating and assisting with the pilot scheme on teaching innovation and deep development plan of deeper education, college-based course will be constructed, special course will be implemented and problem-orientated teaching program will be attempted in terms of course and teaching, so as to present the pluralistic, diversified and vigorous course design to meet the needs of times and society.
